Caring for your Flowers

Flowers are the focal of almost every occasion and celebration. We as Florist’s understand that flowers are to stay long-lasting, and beautiful for as long as possible. We have put together a few tips that will help extend the life of your arrangement.

Cut Flowers

Look for blooms that are just beginning to open. It’s important to check if the stems and leaves are firm. Choose a bouquet that is designed with flowers that are in season. When a flower is cut in its primary season it extends the life of your arrangement. Trim the stems and refresh the water regularly. We suggest a fresh cut diagonally, and a refresh of the water in the vase. Be sure to use the packets of flower food. It is important to follow the mixing directions to ensure that your flowers are able to absorb the nutrition. Every few days remove any wilted or dead leaves and petals.
